About Heather

IMG_5231I am a young aspiring artist with skills ranging from painting to photography although I specialize more in miniature sculptures and installations. I am currently working on an online shop selling cards, painted glassware and other gifts. I also do commissions so if you would like a personalized item or have a gift in mind please get in touch.

From a young age I always loved art, I enjoyed creating things and would use anything from plastic bottles to toilet rolls. As I grew my love for art continued into my studies and I gained A Levels in both photography and Graphic design before going on to do a foundation course in Art at Oldham College. I went on to study Fine Art at York St Johns University and in 2016 I graduated with a 2:1 Honors Degree.

Over the past few years have become increasingly interested in environmental issues such as pollution and the amount of consumer waste we as a race produce, so inevitably these themes are prominent within my artwork. I often use reclaimed and found objects such as pine cones, crisp packets and circuit boards to create my sculptures always keeping some of the original aesthetics of the objects present within the work.
